Mystic Life

Life, love and age ....how are you mingled
Sweet, surprising, shocking, serendipity, in one sky all twinkle.

Naive, innocence shall i bestow thousand words
Life for you I am still nerd.

Enjoy you, befriend you, hate you, love you
All acts are too few

Impeccable me, sinister me, you fathomed all shadows of mine
Compelled me to become jealous lover of thine

Gifted me with best moment intermingled with pinch of sorrow
this way you make me remember from you what I borrow

A simple thought

Journey back in time....

After 7 year I was fortunate enough to have a look at what I left behind at my maternal village Gopeshwer. Its a perfect blend of township and village.Provides all amunitites of township served with village culture at its core. The huge Gopinath temple at centre adds to its charm. The myth says that temple was build by Pandavas.

Born and brought up here, this place has been very special for me, due to people whom I love and who loves me. My journey helped me to appreciate this place more not only because it was my birthplace but also due to its panoramic view and cool climate. The fortunate coincidence that Ram Lila was staged act as additional appraisal for me.

It was a perfect break from the jazzy life of pub city Bangalore.
When something precious comes before you after a long gap, time lost its meaning and stand still. This feeling was replicated on my first glance of Gopeshwer. I was hypnotized to see how innocent and soft spoken people can be, how calm the nature can be and how soothing the climate can be. Mighty Himalaya range was baffling me with its huge ageless presence.

Life here is isolated but is contented, (maybe) people here have less purchasing power but there needs are simple, maybe they have attended no team outings but have more time to interact with people around them. They may not have AC's at there workplaces but they have sun, snow, rain all pure and glowing. They may not have polished communication skills but they have more pleasant interaction with others.

It compelled me to think whether our hectic schedule, increased purchase power, enhanced technology, more electronic gadget is making our life happier !.

As our salary packages are increasing, we are enjoying less of it. Doesn't our role is getting shifted from consumer to generator. We are acting more like ATM machines churning more money but enjoying less of it.

Remember the poem
"LEISURE"

What is this life if, full of care,
We have no time to stand and stare.

No time to stand beneath the boughs
And stare as long as sheep or cows.

No time to see, when woods we pass,
Where squirrels hide their nuts in grass.

No time to see, in broad daylight,
Streams full of stars, like skies at night.

No time to turn at Beauty's glance,
And watch her feet, how they can dance.

No time to wait till her mouth can
Enrich that smile her eyes began.

A poor life this if, full of care,
We have no time to stand and stare.

Just a simple thought now back to work....

Appointment with love

The following is a piece from the 'Chicken Soup for the Soul' series. Appointment With Love

Six minutes to six, said the clock over the information booth in New York's Grand Central Station. The tall young Army officer lifted his sunburned face and narrowed his eyes to note the exact time. His heart was pounding with a beat that choked him. In six minutes he would see the woman who had filled such a special place in his life for the past 18 months, the woman he had never seen yet whose words had sustained him unfailingly.

Lt. Blandford remembered one day in particular, the worst of the fighting, when his plane had been caught in the midst of a pack of enemy planes. In one of those letters, he had confessed to her that often he felt fear, and only a few days before this battle, he had received her answer: "Of course you fear...all brave men do." Next time you doubt yourself, I want you to hear my voice reciting to you: 'Yeah, though I walk through the valley of Death, I shall fear no evil, for thou art with me.'.... He had remembered that and it renewed his strength.

He was going to hear her voice now. Four minutes to six. A girl passed closer to him, and Lt.Blandford started. She was wearing a flower, but it wasnot the little red rose they had agreed upon. Besides, this girl was only about 18, and Hollis Maynel had told him she was 30. "What of it?" he had answered, "I'm 32." He was 29. His mind went back to that book he had read in the training camp. "Of Human Bondage" it was and throughout the book were notes in a woman's handwriting. He had never believed that a woman could see into a man's heart so tenderly, so understandingly. Her name was on the bookplate: Hollis Maynell. He got a hold of a New York City telephone book and found her address. He had written , she had answered. Next day he had been shipped out, but they had gone on writing.

For thirteen months she had faithfully replied. When his letters did not arrive, she wrote anyway, and now he believed he loved her, and she loved him. But she had refused all his pleas to send him her photograph. She had explained: "If your feeling for me had no reality, what I look like won't matter. Suppose I am beautiful. I'd always be haunted that you had been taking a chance on just that, and that kind of love would disgust me. Suppose that I'm plain, (and you must admit that this is more likely), then I'd always fear that you were only going on writing because you were lonely and had no one else. No, don't ask for my picture. When you come to New York, you shall see me and then you shall make your own decision."

One minute to six... He flipped the pages of the book he held. Then Lt. Blandford's heart lept. A young woman was coming toward him. Her figure was long and slim; her blond hair lay back in curls from delicate ears. Her eyes were blue as flowers, her lips and chin had a gentle firmness. In her pale-green suit, she was like springtime come alive. He started toward her, forgetting to notice that she was wearing no rose, and as he moved, a small, provacative smile curved her lips. "Going my way, soldier?" she murmured.

He made one step closer to her. Then he saw Hollis Maynell. She was standing almost directly behind the girl, a woman well past 40, her graying hair tucked under a worn hat. She was more than plump. Her thick-ankled feet were thrust into low-heeled shoes. But she wore a red rose on her crumpled coat. The girl in the green suit was walking quickly away. Blandford felt as though he were being split in two, so keen was his desire to follow the girl, yet so deep was his longing for the woman whose spirit had truly companioned and upheld his own, and there she stood.

He could see her pale face was gentle and sensible; her gray eyes had a warm twinkle. Lt. Blandford did not hesitate. His fingers gripped the worn copy of "Of Human Bondage" which was to identify him to her. This would not be love, but it would be something special, a friendship for which he had been and must be ever grateful... He squared his shoulders, saluted, and held the book out toward the woman, although even while he spoke he felt the bitterness of his disappointment.

"I'm Lt. Blandford, and you're Miss Maynell. I'm so glad you could meet me. "May, may I take you to dinner?" The woman's face broadened in a tolerant smile. "I don't know what this is all about, son," she answered. "That young lady in the greensuit, she begged me to wear this rose on my coat. And she said that if you asked me to go out with you, I should tell you she's waiting for you in that restaurant across the street. She said it was some kind of test."

Protugal vrs France FiFA 2006

Yesterday match was worth commenting...Though titans like brazil and argentina lost prematurely in this world cup, but the loss of portugal against France was painful.
Why I have choosen to comment on this match among all other matches ?

The reason is here a small bird was about to kill the big baaz...
portugese played really well that too consistently. In every field , defence, attack, passing coordination protugal was way ahead to France.Unfortunately the penality kick put France ahead of them by one goal.
The C.ronaldo played with the superb attitude and has potential of a future star.
zinedine Zidane was wonderful in this age also.He played with the complete control of masters in ground.
The whole credit for the victory goes to Zidane but this world cup has seen the rise of a new star C. Ronaldo.

kodaikanal

On 2nd May, we visit to kodaikanal , a beautiful place almost 500 km from Banglore.
this place reminded me of my own native place.
same valley, climate, homes even forest, only the language is different.

We were 18 and boy what a amazing crowd....

I had enjoyed the best campfire of my life.
Sashi dance and Sharon's Oh my che che( summer camp song for which the Saron is known as).
Sami was as usual rocking the trip with the nice songs and cracy jokes..Simha's sense of humour is increasing exponentially..Suvi was a nice company to be with.... We could have done without Thuliya and Vivek as we never found them with us in whole trip :)...

The next we went for sight seeing....The main attraction was suicide point but nobody utilized the opportunity :).. Sami and Dheeraj were expecting each other to do it ... Our chief guest Deepak and vidya were nice and really decent.

We went for cycling across the lake, a good experiance especially for me....
The another amazing part was that we shot almost 200 pics in 2 days....

Dancing on road is not our expertise but when the flow is like this we cant help as it shows in pic..

Sincerly thanks to shilpa and Madhu for organising the trip for themself...I hope they have enjoyed a lot...
